Saturday, April 27th is Independent Bookstore Day - stop in and support your local bookstore!

Located in Historic Uptown Butte, Second Edition Books specializes in Montana, mining, Western Americana, children’s books & more.

Browsing over 30,000 books is a pleasure in our spacious used bookstore. No crowded aisles, no towering bookcases, we have lots of room to roam. The variety is extensive; there is something for everyone here. All our sections are clearly marked and well-organized, enabling one to easily find subjects and titles. Having trouble finding a book, author, or genre? Our well trained staff will be glad to help!

We carry hardback and paperback fiction. Non-fiction sections include Butte, Montana, Native American, religion and music, as well as well-stocked mining and geology shelves, just to mention a few categories. From children's books to cookbooks to spiritual books -- we have a wide variety for the whole family.

“What I say is, a town isn’t a town without a bookstore. It may call itself a town, but unless it’s got a bookstore, it knows it’s not foolin’ a soul.”
